Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American pop music
boy band formed in the year 2009. The group consists of Kendall Schmidt, James
Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They signed their first contract
with Nick Records in 2009. Then, Columbia Records transferred them to their new
label. The group was on Nickelodeon's TV show Big Time Rush. The show aired
from November 28, 2009 to July 25 in 2013. The pilot episode featured the
group's debut promo single, "Big Time Rush". The group recorded three
albums, BTR in 2010, Elevate , and 24/7 in 2013. The group in 2014 was on break
for an indefinite time that lasted until 2021. The group then returned to live
shows and released "Call it Like I See The Album". Nickelodeon has
signed Big Time Rush to an album deal in 2009, alongside its TV series, Big
Time Rush. Nickelodeon collaborated with Columbia/Epic Label Group for
production and original music. Their first single, "Big Time Rush"
was featured on the show' November 29th 2009. Officially announced by Nickelodeon
in November 2009, the show was first broadcast for the time in the United
States. It was then released internationally. The show premiered during a
one-hour special trailer for the series and it is currently the show's theme
for opening. The show also saw songs released as promotional singles like
"City is Ours" and "Any Kind of Guy". Big Time Rush
recorded "Famous" by Play. It was made available to iTunes on June
29, 2010, Another song, "Halfway There", was released to iTunes on
April 27, 2010, after its premier on the show. The track quickly became the
first song to chart on Billboard Hot 100. Due to sales on digital platforms the
track climbed to 93. In order to promote their debut album, Big Time Rush
released "Till I Forget About You" on September 21st 2010. The album,
titled BTR It was released on October 11 on the 11th of October, 2010. The
album peaked at number 3 on the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies in its
first week.
