Alison Doody
Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on 11th November 1966. She made her feature film debut by playing a minor role in the Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to portray the Nazi-sympathising archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody started modeling after being approached by a professional photographer. It led to an impressive modeling career in the commercial world. Doody tried to stay clear of the glamour of nude roles which was a principle she incorporated into her acting. In 1985, following being noticed by the casting directors of the James Bond new film, Doody took a small part of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody made an appearance in John Willis Screen World Volume 2, as one 12 promising actors to be cast in 1986. 38. Doody aged 18 in the role of Doody in Bond, was and is still the oldest Bond gal until today. A Prayer for the Dying (1997) with Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. The Storyteller episode from 1988 featured her in the lead role in Sapsorrow, alongside John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress played Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet as Austrian archaeologist and Nazisympathiser Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. It also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father Doody was a part of three actors who have portrayed James Bond. Doody was in the British mini-series Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce. The film was based on The Hitler Diaries publication scam. In Hollywood her next move was to. She was chosen to replace Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman. She went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his wife and agent in Major League II. After nearly a decade from the stage Doody was back in the acting world and acted in a tiny role in 2003's British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an award ceremony scene. In 2004, Doody appeared with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV version of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), an essay on the Holocaust. Doody was a part-time actress in Danny Dyer's movie The Rapture (2010). Later, she guest-starred on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was also set to play the lead role in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson, the character that she played in the comedy series E4's Beaver Falls during its first season of two seasons. In 2014, she starred as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. In November of 2018, she was awarded by the Almeria tierra de cine award and was awarded the honor of a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
